How it works
The generator uses your browser's cryptographically secure random source (crypto.getRandomValues) with unbiased selection, guarantees at least one character of each selected set, and shuffles the result.

Is the password sent to a server?
No. Everything happens in your browser; nothing is transmitted, logged or stored.
What length should I use?
At least 16 characters with mixed sets is a good default; use longer values for important accounts and a password manager.
Why exclude ambiguous characters?
Characters like O/0 and l/1/I look alike; excluding them helps when a password must be typed by hand.
